The national flag of the Republic of Cape Verde was adopted in 1992. It features a blue rectangular field with three equal horizontal stripes across the lower half — white, red, white (ratio 1:1:1). Toward the hoist, a ring of yellow stars sits over the stripes, with the ring’s center aligned precisely on the red stripe.
