What does the Flag: Greece emoji mean?

Although the double-headed eagle is one of Greece’s most recognisable and beloved symbols, it doesn’t appear on the modern national flag or coat of arms — even though the emblem is officially used by the Greek Army, the Church of Greece, the Cypriot National Guard and the Church of Cyprus, and was incorporated into the Greek coat of arms in 1926. What looks like one symbol is a flag sequence: 🇬 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter G plus 🇷 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter R, joined by the font rather than by the keyboard.

Greece is in Southern Europe. Its flag uses just two colors: nine horizontal stripes—five blue and four white—and a white Greek cross in the upper-left corner.
