This flag closely resembles the Ba'ath Party flag of Syria, it shares the same shapes and colours, but Syria’s flag uses a 2:3 ratio vs. Palestine’s 1:2. It also brings to mind the short-lived Arab Federation of Iraq and Jordan, which had an equilateral triangle at the hoist.
