Shushing Face Emoji
What does the Shushing Face emoji mean?
A face in plain yellow with wide-open eyes, a closed mouth, and its index finger pressed to its lips in a classic “shh” gesture. On some platforms the emoji also shows raised eyebrows. It’s used to ask for silence, hint at a secret, or tell someone not to share the details.
This emoji looks like it’s saying “Quiet!” or “Shhh!” — you can tell from the raised eyebrows, small open eyes and the index finger pressed to its lips. Send it to show you’re preoccupied or need some silence. If someone sends it to you, they’re likely asking you to be quiet for a while and pause messaging. You can reply with a zipper-mouth face.
